Data Backup Services

Goldberg Consulting provides a variety of backup services. Most businesses understand the need for periodic backups and have procedures in place, but, unfortunately, they are not always followed correctly. This leaves the business vulnerable to a computer or hard drive failure that may not be found for months or even years.

We believe in multiple backup strategies to insure business continuity. Our consultants will evaluate your current backup strategy and recommend improvements.

Backup/Restore Firedrill
Our consultants will verify that your current backup media is readable and contains all of the data required to provide both partial and full backup. We will retrieve individual data files from the backups as well as perform a full restore to a second machine – simulating a main server crash.

You will receive a report of the findings of the Firedrill, including our recommendations for changes, if any. These recommendations may include updates to existing written procedures, suggestions for additional backup media, etc. After the completion of the Firedrill, you will have full confidence that you have all of data and procedures you need to continue operations in case of system outage.

Offsite Backup
Goldberg Consulting has partnered wtih FirstBackup to provide automated, off-site backup of mission critical data. FirstBackup provides HIPAA and Sarbanes/Oxley compliant security for offsite data storage. We can customize a backup schedule to your particular needs, including backup frequency, files to be backed up, number of revisions of files to be maintained. Goldberg Consulting provides both backup configuration and monitoring services. This is truly a “set it and forget it” secure backup solution for the business owner.
